Hello! I am Angie.
I bring 8 years of experience to the massage table, and have worked at several award-winning and high end resort town spas. I love it when I get the opportunity to assist in pain relief from an achy back or feet that are sore, and I also can assist in creating a relaxing and pampering experience.
I have been a life-long athlete and have always known I wanted to help people and make a difference in the lives of others. I could not think of a better way to marry these two attributes than to become a massage therapist. I love what I do, and clients say it shows.
I graduated of The Massage School in Easthampton, MA, and studied Sociology and Psychology with a minor in Wholistic Health at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I had been a Certified Personal Trainer in the past and love working with athletes, as well as people who want relief. Of course, there doesn't need to be a reason to get a massage; we all appreciate some relaxation and pampering, too.
I have had some really fun experiences, like volunteering with AmeriCorps National Service in Knoxville, TN teaching inner city children that peas do not come in cans, they are grown in the ground. I also helped rehabilitate substandard housing so that the elderly and low-income in the community could get to stay in a safe, habitable home.
I also volunteered (and eventually was hired) at Gould Farm in Monterey, MA, the oldest working-farm that rehabilitates seriously mentally ill adults through work and intentional community. We grew our own food and cooked it to feed the guests and staff of medical providers and farmers, who all worked on the farm together with the aim to destigmatize and meet "guests" where they are to foster healing and growth.
My hobbies include writing, photography, fermenting food, making and appreciating art, running, training for triathlons, making people laugh in comedy class or out in the wild, and just chilling at home.
